Introduction:
Holy Convocation is about turning away from our daily pursuits to focus on the things of the Lord.
Holy Convocation is about turning away from our daily pursuits to focus on the things of the Lord.
It is always my hope that the Lord will speak to every Preacher a Phrase that would give direction to us as a body.
Typically I don’t talk to the ministers about what is going on in the church, trusting that the Holy Spirit would speak to us.
what a like to do after Holy Convocation I try to boil it down into a concise sentence. so that we can move into understanding and obedience.
(insert Prophetic Sentence here)

1) “Jesus Brought Unity to His Church, It’s Up to us to Keep it!”
1) “Jesus Brought Unity to His Church, It’s Up to us to Keep it!”
1 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, 3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
Jesus prayed that we would be one as he and the father were one.
there is nothing “Magical” about unity. we have to peruse it.

2) “your blessing is Jesus”
2) “your blessing is Jesus”
40 So they sat down in ranks, in hundreds and in fifties. 41 And when He had taken the five loaves and the two fish, He looked up to heaven, blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and the two fish He divided among them all. 42 So they all ate and were filled. 43 And they took up twelve baskets full of fragments and of the fish. 44 Now those who had eaten the loaves were about five thousand men.
God expresses himself in us in the most miraculous way when we are broken in Him.
as a Church all to often we get caught up in the temporal world.
19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
we get far to caught in the lust of the eye rather than an understanding that our reward is in heaven.
(NKJV)
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Seek first what God wants for you not stuff. your blessing is not your stuff or the lack of it, it is god’s heart for you.

“No More Walls”
“No More Walls”
14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,
God wants to tear down your walls and take the limits off your life.

“Release it to increase it”
“Release it to increase it”
1 A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord. And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves.”
2 So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.”
3 Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors—empty vessels; do not gather just a few. 4 And when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into all those vessels, and set aside the full ones.”
5 So she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured it out. 6 Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.”
And he said to her, “There is not another vessel.” So the oil ceased. 7 Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest.”
the woman was in trouble, her husband had died, his debt was revealed. that debt was now going to effect her because her sons, her only means of support and protection in the natural world, would be sold into slavery.
the Prophet asks her what what she wants him to do for her? What do you have in your house?
Her response is NOTHING BUT A JAR OF OIL.
she misses that God wants to bless what she has, and is not concerned about what she doesn't have.
as believers we have jesus and as long as we have Jesus and His indwelling Holy Spirit we have relationship with the Father which is everything.
God provides his blessing to are “jar of oil”, we have to then walk it out.

“Walk in the Light”
“Walk in the Light”
4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.
God did work in the first two chapters of Genesis chapters one and two. every time he finished a work he says “it is good”.
God has called us to do Good works in faith and to do good works.

“The Divine but”
“The Divine but”
Naaman was the commander of the army of Syria.
although Naaman was a mighty man he had leprosy.
we all have our we have done these things but we have these issues.
the Prophet of God sent his servant, he didn't even come himself and told him to Go dip in the Jordan seven times.
Naaman felt as if their where cleaner waters in Syria to dip in.
God wanted to humble him.
what “but” is in your life?
what has the Lord asked you to do ?
what attitudes do you have that are keeping you from your deliverance?

“Fallow God’s Heart Not yours, yours is wicked”
“Fallow God’s Heart Not yours, yours is wicked”
7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
